Community Guidelines
Version 1.0 · Effective August 30, 2026
1. Purpose
The Community exists for constructive conversation about coffee, origin, farms, producers, processing, quality, product development, the Springborn journey, and related entrepreneurship. Participate honestly, respectfully, and with regard for the people behind the coffee.
2. Be respectful and safe
Do not threaten, harass, stalk, intimidate, shame, or target others. Hate, dehumanizing abuse, sexual exploitation, incitement of violence, doxxing, and publishing private information without permission are prohibited. Do not use malware, phishing, credential theft, malicious links, or attempts to gain unauthorized access.
3. Be authentic
Do not impersonate another person or an official Springborn account. Do not use bots, coordinated accounts, deceptive identities, artificial engagement, repetitive promotion, or mass messaging. Disclose a material relationship or benefit when it could affect how others understand a recommendation.
4. No fraud or unauthorized financial activity
Do not run scams, false giveaways, unauthorized fundraising, false investment campaigns, or financial solicitations. Do not promise returns, collect investment money, offer securities, or claim that a member post contains official offering terms. When an official regulated campaign exists, rely on its authorized intermediary and official offering page.
5. Respect rights and privacy
Post only material you are authorized to share. Do not infringe copyright, trademarks, confidentiality, publicity, or privacy rights. Remove personal documents, private contact information, and unnecessary sensitive data from images and posts.
6. Protect participation integrity
Do not manipulate polls, reactions, reports, referrals, missions, points, rankings, or rewards. Self-referrals, fake accounts, duplicate attribution, report brigading, and coordinated attempts to hide legitimate content are violations.
7. Reports and moderation
Report content in good faith using the closest available reason. Do not report merely because you disagree. Reports are confidential from ordinary members. Three independent qualified reports may temporarily quarantine content for review; they do not establish guilt or permanently delete content. Moderators and administrators may restore, limit, hide, or remove content and may restrict accounts. Administrative actions may be audited.
8. Moderators
Rank or points do not automatically create moderators. Eligible members may request review, but only an administrator may confirm the role. Moderators must protect confidential information, avoid conflicts of interest, apply these Guidelines consistently, and never modify protected scoring strategy unless separately authorized.
9. Enforcement
Responses may include a warning, reduced visibility, quarantine, content removal, point reversal, temporary restriction, suspension, or account termination. Severity, context, history, safety, and legal obligations may affect the response. Questions about a decision may be sent to legal@springborncoffee.com with enough information to locate the content.
