Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective August 30, 2026

1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Springborn Coffee handles personal information through websites and community services that link to it. Contact privacy@springborncoffee.com for privacy questions or requests.

2. Information collected
We may collect information you provide, including name, email, password hash, country, state or region, postal code, profile details, coffee preferences, communication choices, posts, comments, replies, images, reactions, poll votes, questions, reports, referral activity, reward requests, and messages sent to us. We also process technical and operational information such as session identifiers, login and verification events, device or browser information, approximate network information, IP-derived security hashes, rate-limit records, consent records, audit logs, moderation actions, account status, points, ranks, missions, notifications, and fraud or security signals. We do not intentionally request precise geolocation or full birth date for Community registration.

3. Purposes
We use information to create and secure accounts; verify email; provide Community features; display content according to its visibility; attribute legitimate referrals; calculate participation; process approved rewards; deliver requested notifications; provide support; enforce policies; investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, and legal claims; maintain records; improve performance and usability; and comply with law. Optional marketing is used only when consent or another lawful basis permits it. Withdrawing marketing consent does not disable the account.

4. Public and member-visible content
Information you publish may be visible to other members or the public depending on the feature and selected visibility. Do not publish sensitive information or personal information about another person without authorization. Email addresses, security signals, IP information, internal notes, reports, and administrative records are not intended for public display.

5. Service providers and disclosures
We may use hosting, database, security, email delivery, storage, analytics, professional advisory, and other service providers that process information to provide their services to us. We may disclose information when required by law; to protect users, rights, safety, or systems; to investigate abuse; in connection with a reorganization or transfer of the Springborn operation; or with your direction. We do not sell personal information for money. If practices materially change, this Policy will be updated before the new practice applies where required.

6. International processing
The service concerns activities involving Brazil and the United States, and providers may process information in more than one country. Privacy protections and government access rules may differ. We use reasonable contractual, organizational, and technical measures appropriate to the information and service.

7. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate accounts, provide requested features, preserve security and audit records, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record. Account deletion may remove or anonymize profile information while preserving limited security, consent, transaction, moderation, suppression, backup, or legal records. Public contributions may be deleted or attributed to a generic deleted-member label where appropriate.

8. Choices and rights
Account settings allow management of certain profile, communication, session, and privacy choices. Depending on applicable law and location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or information about processing. We may need to verify identity and may retain information when law or legitimate security needs permit. Requests may be sent to privacy@springborncoffee.com.

9. Security
We use measures designed to protect information, including access controls, encryption where appropriate, protected sessions, rate limiting, audit trails, and restricted administrative functions. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Report suspected account compromise promptly.

10. Age
The Community is limited to people who confirm they are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly permit Community accounts for children. Contact privacy@springborncoffee.com if you believe a minor created an account.

11. Cookies
The Cookie Notice explains current cookie use. The initial Community release uses essential cookies for authentication, security, continuity, and preferences. Optional advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are not part of the initial Community release.

12. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy as services or legal requirements change. Material updates will receive a new version and may require notice or renewed acceptance. Contact: privacy@springborncoffee.com.
